Speaking at Yeovil Literary Festival
Brooks Newmark had the honour to join the Yeovil Literary Festival to talk about his chapter on Syria’s leader Bashar al-Assad in Iain Dale’s latest book ‘The Dictators’. The session attracted a large crowd, fascinated by Brooks Newmark’s private interactions and meetings with al-Assad, in an effort to discourage the Syrian government from using violence and military means against the civilian population and the opposition.
With the latest developments in the world, the Syrian question has largely been overshadowed. This, in Brooks Newmark’s view, has only solidified not only al-Assad’s position, but also Putin’s presence and influence in the region after having helped the Syrian regime to survive at the cost of tens of thousands of killed and chemically poisoned Syrian civilians.
Don’t forget to buy the book today to read Brooks Newmark’s contribution, based on his first-hand experience: The Dictators.
